Charles Marcellus

Fisher - Charles C. Marcellus, 81, of Fisher died Saturday afternoon (July 11, 1981) at Burnham Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lux Memorial Chapel in Rantoul, the Rev. David Walls officiating.

Burial will be in Willowbrook Cemetery in Fisher.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Marcellus, a Fisher area farmer who retired in 1957, was born Nov. 26, 1899, at Foosland, a son of A.J. and Emma Vance Marcellus.

He married Sylvia Mitchell June 1, 1924, at Shiloh. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, . . . ; a daughter, . . . ; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Wilson Marcellus of Fort Worth, Tex., and Harry Marcellus of Urbana. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

After his retirement, he was employed by the Fisher school system and later by Humko Inc. in Champaign.

He was a member of the Fisher United Methodist Church and the Champaign County Farm Bureau.

Memorials may be made to the Fisher United Methodist Church.
