Thomas M. Baird, son of Jessie and Lavina Baird, died on his farm near Elk Valley on September 11, 1912. Mr. Baird was a farmer and a man of highest character, and his loss will fall heavily on his community and entire county. Mr. Baird was born in 1874, he was a member of one of the best families in the country, and leaves a large circle of relatives, including a wife and five children to mourn his loss. His wife is the daughter of J.C. Gibson of Elk Valley, and a large number of friends through the county are in sympathy with the bereft ones.
