The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, September 25, 2006, at Oasis Baptist Church with Rudy Woods, the Rev. Noah Frye, and the Rev. Tom Hazelwood officiating. Interment will follow in Palestine United Methodist Church Cemetery.
David was born October 14, 1940, in Rockingham County to the late Walter and Louise Lewellyn Landreth . He was formerly employed with Stoneville Furniture Company and was a member of Oasis Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Dawn Landreth .
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Cordell Rakestraw Landreth of the home; step-daughters, Teresa Woods and husband Rudy, and Sylvia Wilson and husband Ricky, both of Madison, and Robin Coleman and husband Rudy of Eden ; brothers, Larry Landreth and Jerry Landreth , both of Madison; nephew, Dean Landreth ; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
