Lonnie W. Layne—72, of Union Prong on Tuppers Creek, died Tuesday at his home after a long illness. He was a retired farmer and miner and a member of the Baptist church

Surviving are his wife, Delia, four sons, Harry W., Thurman, Howard, and Gilbert, all of
Charleston RFD 5; two daughters, Mrs. Reba Walker of RFD 5 and Mrs. Larean Amoto of Martifls Ferry, Ohio; three brothers, Albert and Polie of Charleston and Howard of Charleston RFD 5; two sisters, Mrs. Bertia Fowler and Mrs. Teshie Walker, both of Charleston; 22 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The body is at Cunningham Mortuary.

Service will be at 2 p. rn. Friday in Walker Chapel Church on Tuppers Creek. Rev. Warren Anderson and Elder Glenn S. Sherman will officiate. Burial will be in Thaxton Cemetery on Tuppers Creek.
