Myrt was born in Fulton County, Pa., and at the time of her passing was residing in Cumberland, Md. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Jane; two sons, Frank Valentine and Gary Elliott; four brothers, John Powell, Huey Powell, Ernie Powell, and Joe Powell; and two sisters, Margaret Powell and Ann Logsdon.
She was a former cashier at Memorial Hospital cafeteria for 25 years. She was a former member of the VFW, Eagles, American Legion, and the Moose Ladies Auxiliaries. She loved to dance, was known as the neighborhood barber and was loved by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by one daughter; five sons; two sisters; three brothers; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
