William Leslie Monroe age 83 passed away peacefully at home February 9th 2024. He was born January 13th 1941 to Presley and Mossie Monroe in Cave City Ky. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 62 years, JoAnn Monroe. Also surviving are his son, James Monroe, daughter, Alicia (Matt) Robinson, and granddaughters April and Grace Blume. He will be missed by his faithful dog and constant companion, Minnie.


William (Bill) was a jack of all trades and wore many hats over the years. Farmer, heavy equipment operator, and owner of Bill's Lawn & Garden. He was an avid NASCAR fan who enjoyed watching races and also enjoyed traveling with JoAnn in a motor home for several years.


Bill and Joann moved to Kokomo Indiana in 1961 and remained there until retirement when they moved to Lillian Alabama. He leaves behind many friends and family who will miss him.


A Memorial service will be held in Kentucky at a later date.
