J. Maris, who lives six miles south of this city, suffered a stroke of paralysis last Tuesday while enroute for town. He was discovered by a neighbor hanging over the front end-gate of his wagon in an unconscious condition. Mr. Maris was brought to this city and placed under the care of Dr. Brash, and later was taken to the home of his son-in-law, Verde Anderson, two miles north of town, where he lies in a very critical condition.
LATER: - Mr. Maris died Wednesday at noon. Funeral was held yesterday afternoon, interment taking place in Rose Hill cemetery.
