Mrs. Mary C. George, widow of the late A.L. George, died suddenly at her home, 120 Arthur street, on Thursday, June 3, 1948 at 11:40 p.m.
She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Pauline G. Hare, of New York City, Mrs. Margaret I. Bonner of West Kittanning and Miss Mary M. George of Pittsburgh and one son, Alvin L. George of Kittanning.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, three sisters: Miss Pauline Walker, who made her home with Mrs. George, Mrs. Barbara London, of Munhall, and Mrs. Effie Couch of Norristown: and two brothers, G.A. Walker of Kittanning and Ervin Walker of Mt. Pleasant.
Friends will be received at the late home where funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. In the absence of her pastor Dr. M.M. (unreadable) of the First Presbyterian church, Rev. W.K. Morgan of the First Baptist church will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot in Kittanning Cemetery.
The Montgomery funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
