Vikki Lynne England
September 12, 1942 - October 14, 2023

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend Vikki Lynne England, 81, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Vikki was born on September 12, 1942, to Murray Boyd and Gayle Alora (Fairbourne) in Tooele, Utah. As a young girl, Vikki was a constant companion to her parents, she also had a special relationship with her grandpa Joe, who affectionately referred to her as "the pest."

After Vikki graduated from Tooele High School in 1960, she—along with her lifelong best friend, Karma (Belew) Glynn—moved to Logan, Utah, to pursue higher education at Utah State University (Go Aggies!).

In 1963, Vikki met and married (later divorced) William (Bill) Severe and resided in Grantsville where they had three children, Jill, Britt, and Burke.

Vikki's drive and determination compelled her to finish her undergraduate studies. As a single mother of three young kids, she moved her family to Logan and earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, making her parents extremely proud and becoming a source of inspiration for generations to follow.

This sparked Vikki's 30-year career as a teacher in Tooele County, most of her tenure was spent teaching first and third grade students at Grantsville Elementary. Her kindness and generosity had a profound impact on the lives of numerous children, which reverberated throughout the community—every time she made a public appearance, current and former students flocked to say "Hi" to their favorite teacher.

Vikki was a talented artist who was always up for an adventure. She cherished her time spent with family and friends, she especially lit up when taking trips with her loved ones to Jackson Hole, Yellowstone Park, Bear Lake, and San Francisco. She loved being a grandma and great grandma, enjoying countless outings and activities with each of her grandkids. She looked forward to lunch dates, shopping sprees, and sipping on an ice-cold Pepsi.

Although Vikki endured many hardships throughout her life, she was resilient and maintained her positive attitude and caring nature even when she was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's at the age of 63. She courageously defied odds, spending her final years free of the more debilitating symptoms of the disease.

Vikki was a beacon of light, full of life, and a friend to all—she is sorely missed.

Vikki is preceded in death by her brothers, Steve England and Jay England, and survived by her children, Jill (John) Baker, Britt (Kevin) Grover, Burke Severe; sister, Joanne (Gordon) Smith; grandchildren, Jeremy Baker, Brady (Ashley) Baker, Sean (Alex) Baker, Keaton Grover, Kamryn Grover, Kyler Grover; great-grandchildren, Jack, Abi, Tessa, Sklyar, Luke, Jessie; as well as many extended family and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday, October 27, 2023, from 10:00-11:15 a.m. at Tate Mortuary in Tooele Utah, followed by services at 11:30 a.m., and interment at Tooele City Cemetery.
