Samuel Thomas Arminio, age 89 of Hamilton, passed away at Kettering Hospital Hamilton on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Sam was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 24, 1934 to Angelo and Rose (nee Carito) Arminio. Sam graduated from Hamilton Catholic High School in 1954 and served in the United States Army for 2 years. After his time in the service, he worked for Champion Papers for 42 years and retired in 1996. Sam married Judy, the love of his life, on May 26, 1962 and were married for 61 years. Sam enjoyed his family above all and enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren in their various activities. He loved his golf, pitch games, bocci ball at the Italian American Society and Notre Dame Football.

Sam is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy Arminio; his children, Annette (John) Jones, Gina (Phil) Kreke, Marc (Traci) Arminio and Samuel (Lindsay) Arminio Jr.; his grandchildren, Nicole, Johnathon, Brittany, Amber, Katelyn, Darian, Andrew, Maddox, Nolan, Myles and Kennedy; his great grandchildren, Lyla, Emma, Maya, Caleb, Connor, Caden and Mia. Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Rose Arminio; his brothers, Jim & Joe Arminio; his sisters, Domma Reece, Mary Inforzato & Ann Reiter; and his great granddaughter, Eleanor Joy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18th, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, 45013. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 10:00 AM with celebrant Fr. Ed Hoffman. Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery.
