She was born on February 26, 1927, in Wolford, ND, to Simon and Lida (Swartzentruber) Slaubaugh.
On December 24, 1948, she married Silas Shrock, he died November 27, 2016.
Surviving are three daughters, Wanda (Gordon) Miller of Goshen, Judy (Mike) Mast of Shipshewana, Jan (Rick) Baumann of Grand Rapids, MI; two sons, James (Vicky) Shrock of Kendallville, Leon (Debbi) Shrock of Goshen; eight grandchildren, Stephanie (Troy) Watt, Sabrina Shrock, Gavin (Amy) Miller, Stacey (Chris) Spolyar, Chris (Heidi) Mast, Evan (Kim) Mast, Katie Baumann, Spencer Baumann; 13 great-grandchildren; two step grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; nine brothers, Cletus, Dan, Joe, Albert, Tobias, Elmer, Vernon, Calvin, and Elvin Slaubaugh; three sisters, Edith, Mary, and Sylvia Graber.
Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of Emma Church. She enjoyed singing with her beautiful alto voice at church and in quartets.
She loved sewing, making quilts, and hosting her family for meals.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 4:30 pm on Sunday, January 14 at Emma Church, 1900 South 600 West, Topeka.
Family and friends will gather at 9:30 am on Monday, January 15 at the church to go in procession to Shore Cemetery for a 10:00 am graveside service.
A celebration of life service will follow at 11:00 am on Monday January 15 at Emma Church. Services will be conducted by Pastor Gene Hartman.
Memorials may be given to Menno-Clinic or Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).
