Charles Truett Allred, age 100, was born on May 28, 1923 in Alfalfa, Oklahoma to Clarence and Ella Allred.
Charles joined the Navy shortly after graduating High School and served 3 years. Most of his time was spent in the Pacific Theater during World War II, abroad the USS Amycus. He was a proud veteran, who served his country well.
Upon Discharge from active duty, Charles returned home where he met his future wife, Marilyn Riley, of the Eakly Community. They were married in 1947 and to this union 2 children were born; Cheryl (Smith) and Terry.
Charles and Marilyn moved to the Oklahoma City area, where he worked a civilian employee at Tinker AFB from 1948 until his retirement in 1978. Following retirement he and Marilyn traveled many years, enjoying the RV life and meeting friends along the way.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Ella, daughter, Cheryl, four siblings and many relatives and friends.
He leaves behind his wife, Marilyn, son, Terry, six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
