She was born on August 22, 1926, a daughter of the late Oscar and Dorothy (Depies) Roehrig, and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1943.

Rosemary was a lifelong member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan and loved spending time with her family and friends. Rosemary's family was truly the light of her life. She was a generous and nurturing mother who took immense pride in her children. Her grandchildren described her as "the ideal grandma." She showered them with love and attention, always expressing a deep interest in their lives and allowing them to have dessert before dinner. Rosemary was equally delighted to welcome her great grandchildren into her life.
Rosemary is survived by her children: Steven (Martha) Oppeneer of Racine, Mary (David) Kisiolek of Howards Grove, and Peter (Lawrie Kobza) Oppeneer of Madison. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, her special "sister," Thora Vervoren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday (December 29, 2023) at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Visitation will take place from 11:00am-12:00pm, with Mass to follow at 12:00pm. Father Subi Thomas will officiate and the Mass will be live-streamed and can be watched on the church website (sjbplymouth.org). Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Sheboygan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Rosemary's name to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
The family would like to offer special thanks for the excellent care and compassion given to Rosemary by both the staff at Cedar Community and the staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
