Kevin Dan Bruton, 53, a lifelong resident of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, in Dimmitt. Celebration of Life Services will be on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt with Coby Gilbreath and Dr. Jonathan Sullivan officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 PM at the Grey Mule Cemetery in Quitaque, Texas. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Kevin was born to Danny and Brenda Bruton on October 7, 1970, in Dimmitt, Texas. Kevin attended Friendly Frog Pre-Kindergarten, Richardson Elementary, Dimmitt Middle School, and graduated from Dimmitt High School, Class of 1989. Kevin started stock showing in the 3rd grade; he showed blue butt hogs, fine wool cross lambs, and steers. His love was showing lambs, and he became quite exceptional at doing this. Kevin was the President of the Texas Club Lamb Association. Kevin attended and graduated from Texas Tech University in 1994 with a degree in Animal Science. Kevin roped for Texas Tech University and continued roping even after graduation up until 1997. He married the love of his life Krisse Pigg on August 1, 1998, and together in their 25 years of marriage built a beautiful family, having a lovely daughter, Klancy in 2005, and a handsome son, Kreed, in 2009. Kevin adored and loved his children and his wife. He enjoyed all their activities, whether it was washing steers or pigs, watching football or baseball, or anything for his children. Kevin's presence, contagious laughter, and smile will be missed by his family, friends, and the community of Dimmitt.

Those left to cherish all his memories are his wife, Krisse Bruton; his children, Klancy and Kreed Bruton all of Dimmitt, Texas; his two uncles, Bill Cryer and his wife Brenda of Wolfforth, Texas, and Jerry Cryer and his wife Doris of Portales, New Mexico; his father and mother-in-law, Clayton and Donna Pigg of Quitaque, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, Danny and Brenda Bruton.
