CLARENCE E. DERFLINGER
Services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Bennett's Chapel church for Clarence Edward Derflinger, 76, who died June 10 in Warren Memorial Hospital where he had been four months. Interment followed at Mountain View memorial park in Waterlick. Pallbearers were W. E. Sealock, Dan Clegg, Carl Miller, Andy Vaught, Claude Reil and Wilson Burke. The Rev. Norman F. Hunt conducted the service. Mr. Derflinger was born in this county January 8, 1885, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Derflinger. He leaves his wife, Zeddie Belle Putnam Derflinger; three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Whittington, here; Mrs. Lena Sneed in Mt. Alton, W. Va.; Mrs. Lesta Craun in Washington, D. C; a number of grandchildren and several great grandchildren. A brother, Joseph Derflinger, here, also survives.
