Norma Faye Ellis, better known as Faye Ellis, passed away peacefully in Carlsbad, NM, on November 10, 2023.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 2:00PM, Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at the Andrews County North Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM-8:00PM, Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at the McNett Funeral Home Chapel.

Arrangements are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home.

Faye was born on January 8, 1949, in Hobbs, NM, she was the beloved fourth child of ten to the late Herbert Lee Howell and Estelle Qualls Harmon.

Faye was a beacon of love and selflessness, characteristics that shone brightly throughout her life.

Her family was her world, and she was theirs.

She was a second mother to her siblings, providing guidance, support, and a listening ear in times of need.

Faye's capacity for love extended far beyond her immediate family.

She was a friend to all, never meeting a stranger, and her compassion knew no bounds.

Faye was a devoted mother to her five children: Bobby Kimbrough and his wife, Melissa, of Ozark, AK; Rick Ellis and his wife, Susan, of Andrews, TX; Randy Ellis and his wife, Tina; Kathy McBeth and her husband, Don, of Carlsbad, NM; and Rhonda Patton and her husband, BJ, of Clarksville, AK. Her children, along with her 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, were the light of her life. Her love for them was evident in every interaction, every conversation, and every smile.

Faye was predeceased by her loving husband, Horace Leon Ellis, as well as her parents and eight siblings: Kenneth, Vernon, Jackie, and David Howell; and Ethel Vaughan, Joyce Casey, Rosezetta Howell, and Darlene Sewell.

She is survived by her brother, Rick Howell and wife Nellie of Checotah, OK, and a large and loving extended family.

Faye had a zest for life that was contagious.

She loved watching Hallmark movies, a pastime she often shared with her sisters during their hours-long phone conversations.

She had a passion for cooking, often expressing her love through the meals she prepared for her family.

No matter the circumstances, Faye always had a smile on her face.

She was a beacon of positivity, a trait that endeared her to everyone she met.

Faye's life was marked by her unwavering kindness, her boundless compassion, and her dedication to her family.

She was a caretaker at heart, always putting the needs of others before her own.

Even in her passing, her love and kindness continue to inspire and guide those who knew her.
