Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 27, 2023 in the First Baptist Church in Groom with Rev. Andy Dietz, officiating. Burial will follow in Groom Cemetery in Groom.
Viewing will be held from Noon until service time Friday at the church.

Ida was born August 22, 1935 in Vega to Henry and Mary Elizabeth Dunning Steward. She grew up in Vega and was a graduate of Vega High School. She married Joseph "Bud" Paine on September 3, 1959. Ida worked along side Bud, as a restaurant owner prior to her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, painting, and cooking. She was a great Mom. She loved reading the Bible, learning about the Lord. She graduated from Rhema Bible College in 1999. Ida was a member of the First Baptist Church in Groom.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2022; her son, Richard Ausmus; a daughter, Tammie Paine; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Survivors include her son, Jay Paine and wife Angie of Amarillo; her daughter, Terri Spake and husband John of Mora, New Mexico; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
The family request memorials be sent to McLean Care Center.
