Glen David Conder, 23, 456 W. 1st Lehi, was killed early today I when his truck loaded with turkeys hit a light pole at 7600 State St. in Salt Lake County.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at Salt; Lake General Hospital. The at about 3:45 a mishap occurred m. Investigating officers were Unable to determine immediately why the truck swerved off the the Utility pole.
The crash left turkeys scattered over the highway but a truck was sent to pick them up. Conder worked for Pulley Turkey Co. of American Fork.
He was born July 30, 1935, at American Fork, son of Albert and Clara Curtis Conder. A graduate of American Fork High School, he also attended Brigham young University and was a member of the Utah National Guard. He was a member of the; LDS Church. He married Mary Ellen Whitner of Lehi Oct. 10, 1955.
Survivors include his wife a daughter, Connie; his parents and the following brothers: Guy Lewis Conder of Salt Lake City; Merlin Conder, serving with the US Army in Germany; Lloyd Earl Conder, serving with! the U. S. Air Corps in California, now home on leave.
Funeral services will be announced from the A. H. Wing Mortuary, Lehi.
