GUY LEWIS CONDER
Lodi, California
1932 - 2017

Guy Lewis Conder, age 85, returned to his Heavenly Father's presence on December 5, 2017. He passed away peacefully in his sleep. Guy was born August 23, 1932, the oldest of four brothers, to Albert and Clara Curtis Conder, in American Fork, Utah.

Guy served in the Air Force from 1952-1956. He was trained at M.I.T. to operate and repair the "new and secret" radar system. He was shipped out to serve in the 4th Radar Relay Unit in French Morroco, Africa, the same day that Elizabeth II was crowned Queen of England. After his service in the Air Force he returned to Utah and completed his education at Utah State University graduating in 1959 with a B.S. in Accounting. He became a Utah State Auditor until 1964. He then became a farmhand harvesting crops traveling from farm to farm in California.

Guy married the "Love of his life", Claudeen in November of 1973. They moved to Lodi and bought their home where they lived until his passing.

Guy was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America. He served many years as a Scout Master and then many more as a trainer of Scout Leaders as a Roundtable Commissioner. He earned 38 awards as an adult including the "Silver Beaver". He loved serving the boys and helping them to accomplish their goals in scouting.

Guy was an avid fisherman. All of his stories ended up with something about fishing included.

Guy worked for CalTrans as a landscaper. He loved the trees and plants and was also a good gardener. He retired in 1994.

After retirement, he and his sweetheart, Claudeen, spent many happy years traveling and visiting family and taking grandchildren hiking and fishing.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents; Albert and Clara Conder, his brothers; Merlin and Glen David, step-daughter; Linda Sorenson Miner, grandson; MacKendrie Miner, and his beloved wife Claudeen Conder.
