She was born April 15, 1936, in Lewisburg, TN, to the late Dewey and Nellie Dickson Jett. She dearly loved her family and was happiest when she was surrounded by them. She enjoyed doing word searches and crossword puzzles, gardening, embroidery, cooking and especially family gatherings. She was the solid rock on which our family stood and was always grounded by. We have comfort in the peace of the certain knowledge that our earthly angel is in Heaven.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Austin, Portland; brother, Jessie W. McBurnett, Gallatin; grandchildren, Cortney Matthews (Russell), Portland, Jessica McBurnett, Portland, Chaben McBurnett, Portland, Alex Gammons, Lebanon; great grandchildren (her precious babies) Paisley (Hailey or KK) Matthews, Myliegh Matthews; sisters, Daisy Cozart, Lewisburg, and Martha Drake, Lewisburg.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Homer W. McBurnett and second husband, John McRedmond; six brothers, Virgil Jett, Thomas Jett, Roosevelt Jett, Leonard Jett, Joe Jett, Charles Jett; six sisters, Jennie Lee, Frances Moore, Helen McAdams, Katie Stinnett, Edna Cook, Elsie Smith.
