James "Wiren" Adair was the first child of J.K. Adair and his second wife Theodocia "Docie" Adair. Wiren was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 14, 1886. Soon after his birth, he and his mother mother moved to Fisher County, Texas, where his father James K Adair was a foreman on the Two Circles Bar Ranch. After the death of his mother Docie in 1891, Wiren and his younger sister Margie were sent back to Atlanta to stay with relatives until they were old enough to return to Texas.
Wiren and Margie were brought back to Texas by Blanche Landrun in 1894. Blanche married James K. Adair two weeks later. She raised Wiren and Margie as if they were her own.
Wiren married Jessie Zoella Reding on October 12, 1912. They farmed in Fisher County and in Arkansas. In May, 1921 they moved to Raymond Washington, where Jessie's brother in law was working in a saw mill. Wiren also went to work in the saw mill but was killed in an accident there on Dec 23, 1921.
Wiren was survived by his wife Jessie, 3 daughters, his father James K Adair and stepmother Blanche Landrum Adair. He was also survived by his sister, one half sister and two have brothers. He was preceded in death by his mother Theodocia Wells Adair and an infant daughter Ida Alameda Adair.
