Mrs. Margaret Sue Brown Clanton, age 81, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023, under the loving care and comfort of her family, and the caring and professional staff of The Waters of Shelbyville.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors 12 noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

She was born September 1, 1942, in Bell Buckle, one of thirteen children, to the late Elmer and Lila Pearl Nobles Brown. She was retired from Century Mold, enjoyed sewing, watching her grandchildren, and talking on the telephone. She held membership at Faith Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Woodson; brother and sisters, Evelyn Gregory, Helen Benson, Maggie Dalton, Peggy Spence, Raymond Brown, Carolyn Prater, and Judy Grogan.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, John Wayne Clanton; a daughter, Penny Cooper, and her husband Brent; grandchildren, Tabitha (James) Philpot, Mary Cooper (Jon Evans), and Emma Cooper; great grandchildren, Tyler Philpot, Hailey Philpot, and Mayalana Philpot; great great grandchildren, Addison Philpot, Caleb Moses, and Jasper Justice; her beloved cat, "Tiger Clanton".

Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
