OBITUARY - Saturday - 16 January 1999

Toccoa, GA - Grace Viola Pritchett Ward, 87, of Queen Street died Friday Jan. 16, 1999, at Stephens County Hospital. Born in Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late William Thomas and Mary Evie Thomason Pritchett. She was a former resident of the Nails Creek Community. She was a member of Nails Creek Baptist Church and was a retired beautician. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are daughters, Jean Williams and Agnes Simmons, both of Toccoa, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was the widow of Dayton Ward and was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Mary Evie Thomason Pritchett. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Amanda Wilson, Reba Prtichett and Morene Ausburn and by one brother, W.C. "Doc" Pritchett. Services are at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Nails Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Ray Black and the Rev. Albert Hudson; burial will be in the church cemetery with the Rev. Paul Robertson officiating at the graveside.
