Black Mountain, N.C. - Frank Fore, 85, of Black Mountain, N.C. passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Mountain Ridge Wellness Center after a brief illness.
Mr. Fore was born August 9, 1922, in Madison County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of his life.
He was of the Baptist faith and attended Parkway Baptist Church in Oteen.
He was a son to the late Jesse and Elizabeth Ogle Fore.
He is also preceded in death by three sisters, Georgia Allison, Zora Runion and Anna Lee Watts and brothers, Jerome, Kenneth, Ernest, Holbert and Ollie Fore.
Left to cherish his memory is a very special and care giving sister, Ethel Hollifield of Black Mountain with whom he shared his residence with for the last 33 years and Juanita Massey also of Black Mountain; brothers, James Fore (Ellie) of Asheville and Hubert Fore of Swannanoa; numerous nieces and nephews including special nieces, Diane Gilliam and Lucy Hollifield and very special great nephew, Brandon Moore and friend, Amanda.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Madison Seminary Baptist Church Cemetery, Marshall with the Rev. Wendell Runion and Randy Young officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Mountain Ridge Wellness Center for all their love and care.
Arrangements are in the care of Harwood Home for Funerals, 208 W. State St., Black Mountain.
