Norma Fay Copeland was born in Calvin, Oklahoma on October 2, 1933, to Clyde and Lillian (Peters) Blaylock. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side in Duncan, on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at the age of 89.

A memorial service is planned for 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 9, at Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Julius Williams of Lawton officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Gibson, Josh Gibson, Gary McKeever, Ernest Tonkinson, Mark Watkins, Tyler Garrett, Chris Keck, and Shawn Spruiell. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Duncan Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Norma graduated from Calvin High School in 1951. She worked as a sales clerk at JC Penney for many years and was a seamstress and homemaker. She was an enthusiastic OU softball, basketball, and football supporter. She loved fishing, bowling, dancing and traveling. Norma was a strong, compassionate and brave woman.

She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Frank F. Foster; her second husband, Phil Copeland; a daughter, Christy Ann Foster; parents, Clyde and Lillian Blaylock; brothers, Gene, Harmon, Doyle, Delmar, Ellis and Claude Blaylock; and sisters: Violet Smith, Lela Graham, Myrna Simms, and Carla Patterson.

Norma is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law who were affectionally called Weasels: Lela Jill Gibson, Claudia Gail Tonkinson and husband Ernest, Tracy Dawn McKeever and husband Gary, all of Duncan; grandchildren: Jeremy Gibson and wife Mary, Joshua Gibson and Suzette Rutherford, Andi Spruiell and husband Shawn, Ivy Keck and husband Chris, Chelsea Watkins and husband Mark, Amy Garrett and husband Tyler; several step grandchildren; great-grandchildren: Mariah Gibson, Hadley Spruiell, Hudson Spruiell, Jett Watkins, Oliver Keck, Augustus Keck, Macklyn Garrett, Oaklyn Garrett, Kinsley Garrett, Paelyn Garrett, Tanner Gibson, Dylan Gibson; and sister-in-law, Imogene Blaylock.
