HAWKINS - Ellanora Foeh met her Lord Jesus Christ April 11, 2008, after a six-year battle with cancer. She passed away in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Ellanora was born October 24, 1931, in Gilmer, Texas, to Delbert and Ekra Ferris. She attended New London schools, graduated from Talco High School in 1949, as well as Tyler Business School. Ellanora was united in marriage to Frederick A. Foeh January 29, 1952.

She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Ellanora was a longtime resident of Hawkins and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Ellanora operated a child care service for many years. She was a talented singer and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Ellanora was preceded in death by her father, Delbert Ferris; and infant son, Kurt.

She is survived by her husband; mother, Ekra Ferris; sister, Barbara of Hawkins; sister, Glenda and George Raven of Austin; daughters, Frances Foeh and Diane Jackson of Austin, Frieda and Curtis Meadows of Sulphur Springs and Christine and Jim Netherton of Kyle. Ellanora had seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. today, April 14, 2008, at Hawkins Cemetery, with Pastor Gary Vaughn officiating.
