Mr. Frederick Andrew Foeh, Jr. of Hawkins passed Monday, July 6, 2020 at his home. Mr. Foeh was born in Goose Creek, Texas on January 19, 1930 to the late Frederick Sr. and Emma Sedlacek Foeh. He married the late Ellanora Ferris Foeh on January 29, 1952.
Mr. Foeh graduated from Talco High School where he excelled in music. He graduated with a Master’s in Music Composition from the University of Texas at Austin.
Frederick was a 1St Lt in the United States Army, as a Military Police Chief. His teaching career as Band Director in Hawkins began in 1962. Our Dad was a member of the East Texas Symphony Community Band for many years. He also organized the first Community Band of East Texas.
Frederick was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Kurt, and sister, Grace McDonald. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Steen of Conroe, his three daughters, Frances Foeh and partner, Diane, Frieda Meadows, husband Curtis, and Christene Foeh. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
A military graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 10, 2020 at Hawkins Cemetery with Father Mark Dunne officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Hawkins from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
