Obituary from the Arkansas City Daily Traveler 11 March 1952 -- "SARAH BROWN DIES MONDAY, Mrs. Sarah Ann Brown, 90, died at 4:15 Monday at Memorial hospital where she had been admitted the same day. She had been ill since Feb. 1, at her home, 209 North Second street, where she lived with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cameron.

"She was born July 20, 1861, at Monmouth, Ill., and was married to William S. Brown at Monmouth in Jun 1878, coming to Kansas soon after her marriage. She had been a resident of this city 38 years, coming from Wichita. Mr. Brown died Sept. 1, 1925. Mrs. Brown was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Victory chapter 151 O.E.S., [Order of the Eastern Star] and the Woman's Relief Corps. She was the daughter of William M. And Adeline Glover. Her father was a veteran of the Civil War.

"Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Cameron, Mrs. Grace Brooks, Burden, Mrs. Jessie Gilbert, Eureka, and Mrs. Eunice Cox, Ponca City; three sons, Elmer C. Brown and Ben L. Brown, both of Wichita and William T. Brown, Red Rock, Okla; 21 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

"Preceding her in death besides her husband, were three children, Harry, Irene and Clyde [sic - should be Perry Lloyd]; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Hughes and Mrs. Elizabeth Bailey; one brother, Frank Glover.

"Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the chapel of the Jess Rindt Mortuary with the Rev. Paul Hantla officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove cemetery, Wichita. Jess Rindt Mortuary is in charge."
