Retired Farmer's Funeral Thursday
Funeral services for Benjamin L. Brown, 67, of 3928 S. Broadway, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Broadway Mortuary. Mr. Brown, a retired farmer, died Monday evening at Wesley Hospital.
Born June 23, 1888, in Bayneville in Sedgwick County, Mr. Brown resided in that community most of his life. During the last three years he acted as coach at Albert Pike Masonic Lodge for persons doing degree work. He was also a member of Wichita Consistory.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marcille Litton, Wellington, Kan.; a son, Kenneth L., 518 E. MacArthur Rd.; four sisters, Mrs. Jessie Gilbert, Eureka, Kan., Mrs. Grace Brooks, Burden, Kan., Mrs. Eunice Cox, Ponca City, Okla., and Mrs. Margaret Cameron, Arkansas City, Kan.; a brother E. C., 531 N. Lorraine; and three grandchildren.
Consistory services and graveside rites will be held by Albert Pike Lodge. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Broadway Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
