Robert Hugh Campbell, 67, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, Feb. 21,
1996, at his home.

Funeral services were Saturday morning at St. Henry's Church in Rosebush with Father Jeffrey Donner and Sister Mary Ellen McDonald officiating. Burial will be in St. Henry's Cemetery in Rosebush. Memorials are suggested to St. Henry's Church.

Robert was born July 26, 1928, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Hugh and Mary Jane (Clare) Campbell. He married Naomi Anspach on Sept. 24, 1949, in Mt. Pleasant.

Robert was a lifelong resident of Mt. Pleasant. He was employed as a construction painter in the local area. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of St. Henry's Church.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi (Anspach) Campbell of Mt. Pleasant; four daughters, Mary (John) Straight of Mt. Pleasant, Barbara Berry of Indiana, Sue (Bill) Kriss of Rosebush and Nancy (Rick) Funnell of Mt. Pleasant; three sons, Tim Campbell of Ohio, Jeff (Terri) Campbell of Mt. Pleasant and Dan (Lisa) Campbell of Mt. Pleasant; 11 grandchildren, Jim, Adam and Sean Berry, Scott and Stephany Straight, Jason and Andrea Kriss, Fristen and Kelli Campbell, and Erin and Erica Funnell; two sisters, Dorothy (Hank) Briggs of Midland and Maxine (Robert) Shepard of Mt. Pleasant; four brothers, Donald (Juanita) Campbell of Remus, Myles Campbell of Mt. Pleasant, Carlyle "Jake" (Hilda) Campbell of Lansing and Hugh (Bonnie) Campbell of Midland; and several-in-laws, Raymond (Janice) Anspach of Alma, Dick (Joyce) Anspach of Livonia, Marie (Bill) Gross of Midland, Jean (Robert) Briggs of Midland and Alice (Robert) Louisell of Mt. Pleasant.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Mary Jane Campbell; his sister, Kathleen Diehl Houghton, and his brother, Clare J. Campbell.
