WALCOTT — Lucille Baird, 85, of Walcott died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
A homemaker, Mrs. Baird was born June 29, 1922, in Walnut Ridge. She was a former Sunday school teacher and devoted member of Light Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Howard Jackson Baird Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Walcott; and three daughters, Ethel Noles of Walcott, Becky Diggs and husband Jim of Paragould and Sue Huffman and husband Don of Walcott. She is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Ethel Brunson; her husband, Howard Jackson Baird Sr.; one great-granddaughter, Rebecca Suzanne Davenport; one son-in-law, Bob Noles; three sisters, Lorene Thornton, Mardell Shaffer and Pauline Brunson; and one brother, Lloyd Brunson.
Visitation will be at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould from 5:30-8:30 this evening.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Light Baptist Church with Raymond Atwood and Glen Hoselton officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery at Walcott.
Vance Cupp Jr., David Pratt, Marvin Exum, Taf Wharton, Joe Pratt and Vance Cupp III will serve as active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Maple, John Kellerman and Jerry Orick.
Memorials to Light Baptist Church Building Fund would be appreciated.
