Ethel Mae Noles, 71 of Walcott went to be with the Lord on December 11th at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born on August 24, 1947 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Howard and Lucille Baird, who preceded her in death. She married Bobby Norman Noles in September of 1963. They enjoyed 43 years together building a home and raising a family before his death in 2007. Ethel spent her life caring for others with a deep devotion and sacrificial love. Her greatest joy was her family. Ms. Noles was a member of Walcott Baptist Church and an active member of the Shining Light Sunday School class.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ethel was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebecca Suzanne Davenport, two brothers-in-law, Jim Diggs and Bill Noles, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eugene and Marlue Noles and a nephew, Richard Samuel Newberry.
She is survived by her children, Norma and Dennis Davenport and Amanda and Sam Isom; grandchildren, Fallyn Taylor Davenport, Jenna Brianne Davenport and her fiancée Will Craft, Kaley Reese Isom, and Anna Bree Isom; her sister, Becky Diggs; a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Don Huffman; a brother and his wife, Bo and Bonnie Baird; a sister-in-law, Mary Noles; a sister-in-law and her husband, Paula and Richard Newberry; an aunt, Anita Pickens; five nieces: Donna Jones, Andrea Burrow, Gina Smith, Deanna Allred, and Lindsay Roberts, two nephews, Anthony Baird and Nick Newberry, as well as Margie Davenport, her “bestest” friend, and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould from 6:00-9:00 p.m. with the family meeting at 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. at Walcott Baptist Church. Bro. Nathan Gramling, Bro. Rudy Ring, and Bro. Tommy Stacey will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Active and Honorary Pallbearers are: Anthony Baird, Jacob Jones, Nick Newberry, Quincy Roberts, David Pratt and Vance Cup III, Keith Smith, Ed Allred, Roy Davenport, Bill Elliott Sr., Sonny Cupp, and the ladies of the Shining Light class.
