Aunt B was a beautiful lady inside and out. She loved her family ~ and we all loved her.

Aunt B married Leon Samford on October 15, 1956. Leon is buried in the Burkeville Cemetery, Newton County. He died in 1976.

Aunt B died at the age of 75 in Park Place Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas.

She was the daughter of William Harrison and Clara Lee Hall. A native of Newton, she had lived in Burkeville for the past 25 years. She and her husband, Leon owned Eastern Gas Company. She was also a US Army veteran, serving during World War II.

She had no children of her own but helped raise Aunt Jenny's children when Aunt Jenny contacted polio right after her children were born.

Her middle name was the letter "B". It is not an initial.

Aunt B is survived by two brothers, Raymond Eugene Hall of Newton, Texas and W.H. (Wendall) Hall of St. Francisville, Louisiana. Her surviving sisters are Alyce Hall Brown of Nederland and Virginia "Jenny" Hall Gaudet of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Her nephews are John Howard Gaudet, Ricky Hall, David Brown, Wendall Hall and Shannon Hall. Neices are Missy Gaudet Jeffrey, Beth Brown Welch, Amy Hall Daigle and Bettie Hall Jordan.
