She was the daughter of William Harrison and Clara Lee Hall. A native of Newton, she had lived in Burkeville for the past 25 years. She and her husband, Leon owned Eastern Gas Company. She was also a US Army veteran, serving during World War II.
She had no children of her own but helped raise Aunt Jenny's children when Aunt Jenny contacted polio right after her children were born.

Her nephews are John Howard Gaudet, Ricky Hall, David Brown, Wendall Hall and Shannon Hall. Neices are Missy Gaudet Jeffrey, Beth Brown Welch, Amy Hall Daigle and Bettie Hall Jordan.
