Lester Wade Dickson, 79, of Irving died Thursday at an Irving nursing center. Graveside services were Saturday at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Mr. Dickson was born March 26, 1925, in Hollis, Okla. He opened Dickson Salvage in 1967. He retired after 20 years in 1988.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Dossett Dickson of Irving; children, Linda Beckelman and her husband Mike, and Kim Fritz and her husband Joe, all of Colleyville, Jerry Dickson of Fort Worth, Toni Strickland and her husband Anthony of Plano, and Marlon Dickson and his wife Terri of Keller; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
