Alta Lavonia Dickson, was born and raised in the Dallas Fort Worth area. She was the daughter of Grace Lee Crawley and Alvie Dickson and the sixth of seven siblings.
Lavonia married Edwin Sonnenburg in the late 50's and had one child David. He was killed in motorcycle accident in 1975.
She married District Attorney Tim Curry in 1985.
