Nellie Mae Miller, age 89 of Holly Avenue, Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday morning, August 28, 2023 on the eve of her 90th birthday at her residence. Born on August 29th, 1933 near Bass, WV, she was a daughter of the late Ashby David Mongold and Ollie Alice Wolfe Mongold. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Delano Miller in November 1998, and a grandson, Jordan Michael Miller in February 2013. Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Nellie was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. Before and after retirement, she enjoyed cooking for her wonderful children and grandchildren, cherishing the time they spent with her. When she needed to relax, she would tune in to the "Yong and Restless" on television.

Surviving is a daughter, Frances Miller of Moorefield, WV; four sons, Roger (Carol) Mongold, Mike (Diane) Miller, David "Boo" (Paula) Miller and Brian (Shelia) Miller all of Moorefield, WV; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with pastor Wade Armentrout officiant. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Gardens, Route 55, Moorefield. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service.

The family wishes to acknowledge a special caregiver, Destiny McWhorter and the care she provided to Nellie.
