Paul Lester Barlow, Sr., age 77, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023 at his home. He was born June 14, 1946 in Wilkes County to Homer and Louise Key Barlow. Mr. Barlow was a US Air Force Veteran and was formerly director of maintenance with Wilkes Medical Center. Paul was a member of Center Baptist Church. He loved golfing, pickleball, fishing, and softball. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Barlow.
Paul is survived by his spouse of 55 years, Donna Barlow; children, Sonya Barlow of North Wilkesboro, Lester Barlow and spouse Jessica of Wilkesboro, April Kanupp and spouse Kris of North Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Brayden Meadows, Hannah Sathre and spouse Evan, and Hailey Kanupp all of North Wilkesboro, Colin Barlow and Camden Barlow both of Wilkesboro; sisters, Judy Porter and Lois Sale both of North Wilkesboro; brother, Harvey Barlow and spouse Ginger of North Wilkesboro; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard Post 1142 will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2023 at Center Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor David Key officiating.
