BARRE, CURTIS G., 94, of Clearwater, died Thursday, March 28, 1996, at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. He was born in Bellmont, Ill., and came here in 1965 from Whiting, Ind. He was a chemist and worked at Sinclair Oil, East Chicago, Ind. He was a board member, usher, and president of the men's club at Skycrest United Methodist Church, Clearwater, a 72-year member of Masonic Lodge 239, Mount Carmel, Ill., and a past worthy patron of Order of the Eastern Star, Whiting. Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Viola E.; a nephew, Floyd B. Ward, Texas; and three nieces, Joanne Polivka, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Kima Probst, Des Plaines, Ill., and Luradean Hopkinson, Alexandria, Va. Moss-Feaster Funeral Homes, Belcher road Chapel, Clearwater.
NOTE: Glick, the middle name of Curtis Barre, is a family name, specifically the maiden name of his maternal grandmother, Susannah Glick Curtis (memorial #93330172).
