Alice Studebaker Grover, wife of Charles H. Grover, on Iowa near 13th street, was born Nov. 6, 1873 in Dupage Co., Ill. She came with her parents to Tama Co., Iowa, where she lived until June 10, 1896, when she was married to Charles H. Grover at Harris, Iowa. Lived in Terril one year and then in May, 1898, settled in Cedar Falls, where she lived until her death, which occurred, march 24, 1899, aged 25 years, 4 months, 18 days. She leaves a young babe only a few days old. Dr. Pettit did not attend her in her confinement but was called last Friday afternoon when too late, going as he had so often done, when his strength would not justify him in making the effort. The deceased united with the United Presbyterian church in her 18 year and has lived a devoted Christian life.
