Thomas H. "Tom" Garner, 84, of 3146 West Ky. 80, Nancy died Monday, Nov. 11, 1991 at Humana Hospital-Lake Cumberland following a short illness.
He was born in Pulaski County, July 22, 1907, son of the late Cornelius Prater and Sarah Weddle Garner. He was a retired farmer, Pulaski County Colonel, Kentucky Colonel, member and trustee of Chesterview Baptist Church and member of the Eye Services Support Group.
Survivors include his wife, Della Rainwater Garner, whom he married Dec. 22, 1936; three sons, Don W. Garner, Carrollton, Gary H. and Thomas Ray Garner, both of Nancy; a daughter, Sue Garner Sims, Nashville, Tn.; two sisters, Thelma Turpen, Somerset and Elma Coner, Nancy; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; and two brothers, Chester and Minnie Garner.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Chesterview Baptist Church with the Revs. Harlan Avera and Bobby Clark officiating.
Burial will be in Chesterview Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at Pulaski Funeral Home.
