Ethel Hickox Lewis, 102, of Nahunta, GA, daughter of Riley and Zillie Aldridge Hickox, died late Monday afternoon at Bayview Nursing Home, Nahunta. She was wife of the late Evan J. Lewis, a great wife and mother, she helped her husband in the bee keeping business. She was a good cook and worked in several restaurants in Nahunta area. She had a wonderful extended loving family at BayView Nursing Home for about 7 years.

She was preceded in death by 3 Children, Margie Strickland, Evan J. Lewis, Jr. and Adel Lewis, 2 sisters, Dora Deal and Emmie Griffin, 7 brothers, Ernie, Joseph, Melvin, Riley, Ned, Ellis, and Foster Hickox and 2 sons-in-law, Clayton Riggins and Howard Hersey.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Doris Fowler (Goldwire) and Virginia Ramer, both of Nahunta, GA, one wonderful daughter-in-law, Patsy Lewis of Crestview, FL; 9 Grandchildren, Linda Jones (John) of St. Simons Isl., GA, Gail R. Visitation will be Wednesday evening starting at 6 p.m. at Chambless-Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

Funeral services will be Thursday (April 3, 2008) at 2 p.m. at Nahunta 1st Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Carson and Rev. Christopher Sheffield officiating. Burial will be at Rob Lewis Cemetery, Raybon.

Pallbearers Scott Ramer, Darrin Lewis, Tripp Herrin, Brad Herrin, Eric Schmitt and Dean Horne.
