Marth Wicker Obituary
Marth B. Wicker, age 73, of Connersville, passed away on Sunday July 16, 2023 at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana. Martha was born on March 4, 1950, the daughter of Ruffie and Bertha Day Abrams.

Martha was a 1968 graduate of Laurel High School. On November 22, 1968, in Cambridge City, IN, she was united in marriage to Stephen E. Wicker. They spent 48 wonderful years together prior to his passing in 2017.

Martha and Steve were owners of Rembu Sporting Goods from 1971 to 2015. She retired from First Financial after many years of service. Martha lived an active lifestyle and her most valued treasure was her family, especially her son and granddaughters. She was a loving and loyal sister, mother, grandmother, and friend to many until her last days. She enjoyed taking care of others, visiting with her family and friends, listening to music, and watching English shows and reruns on tv with family.

She has left behind to love and cherish her memories, her son, Brian Wicker (Lindsey) and granddaughters, Peyton J. Wicker and Paige A. Wicker. She will be thought of often by her brothers, Jon (Melody) Abrams and Jerry Abrams; sisters, Lutisha Jackson, Phyllis (James) Wells, and Laverne (Bill) French; a brother-in-law, Jim Wicker; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by five brothers, Lermon Abrams, Lonnie Abrams, Sr., Herschel Abrams, Herbert Abrams and Lemuel Abrams; and a sister Marie Fields.

Funeral services will be conducted at Urban Winkler Funeral Home on Saturday July 22, 2023 at 1 p.m. Friends may gather with the family from 11 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Laurel North Cemetery.
