Helen was married to Roy C. Adams from Nov. 14,1949 until the day of his death on July 13, 2007. Helen moved from Kentucky to Rush Co. IN in 1947 and then to Henry County in 1954 where she has resided until her death.
Helen worked at Indiana Knitwear of Greenfield for about 10 years and at Western Electric in Indianapolis for about 15 years. She received her GED and also took courses through Moody Bible Institute. She attended Spiceland Baptist Church, Bethel Baptist Church, Liberty Baptist and Whittier Lane Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and was in charge of the kitchen in the Fellowship Hall of Liberty Baptist Church. Helen enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, going to auctions, garage sales and reading good books. She also enjoyed taking care of her yard and tending to her flowers.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Janice (Roger) Stevens and her sons, Gary (Mandy) Adams and Steve (Tina) Adams; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; a sister Bonnie Rogiar and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband of 58 years, Roy C. Adams, 3 sisters and 2 brothers; 2 brothers-in-law and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Home in Knightstown. Services at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Home, Knightstown Chapel a 10 a.m. Wed. July 19,2023 with Brother Randy Gross officiating.
