Mary E. Sass, 87, of 15 N. Marr St., died today, Aug. 31, 1992, at Americana Health Center.
She was born July 28, 1905, in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Hounsell Schleger. On June 17, 1924, she married William P. Sass at Fond du Lac.
Mrs. Sass was a resident of the Town of Lamartine until December of 1986. She was a former member of the Church of Peace and the Homiston Homemakers for approximately 34 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Gladys Baus and Geraldine Porter and her husband Gordon, both of Fond du Lac; one son, Charles and his wife Marjorie of North Fond du Lac; one son-in-law, Lawrence Mueller of North Fond du Lac; 22 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband on Feb. 21, 1953; her parents; one son William; two daughters, Jean and Jeanette; two brothers, Sam and Charles Schleger; and a son–in-law, Martin Baus.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mach Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Marin Koehler will officiate. Burial will be at Estabrooks Cemetery
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
