Charles W. "Charlie" Sass, 52, of 820 Bechaud Ave., North Fond du ac, died Monday, Dec.13, 1993, at his home.
He was born March 6, 1941, in Fond du Lac, a son of William P. and Mary E. Schleger Sass. On May 18, 1974, he married Marjorie "Marge" L. Behnke at Church of Peace.
Mr. Sass was a graduate of Oakfield High School. He was employed at Brooke Industries as a plant supervisor. Before that, he worked at Standard Component of Oshkosh. He was a member of Eagles Aerie No. 270 of Fond d Lac. Mr. Sass was an avid gardener and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife of North Fond du Lac; one daughter, Julie Scott and her husband Troy of Van Dyne; two sisters, Geraldine Porter and her husband, Gordon, and Gladys Baus, all of Fond du Lac; three brothers-in-law, Lawrence Mueller of Fond du Lac, Richard Behnke and his wife Judy of Delavan, and James Behnke and a special friend, Chuckie DeWitt, of Fond du Lac; his mother-in-law, Valeria Behnke of Fond du Lac; a special niece, Cindy Wagner and her husband Ken of North Fond du Lac; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Preceding him in death were one brother, William; two sisters, Jean Denzin and Jeanette Mueller; two brothers-in-law, Martin Baus and Lester Denzin; and his father–in-law, Harold Behnke.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The Rev. Martin Koehler will officiate. Burial will be at Estabrooks Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
