Rev. Andrew Sutherland was the son of Col. Andrew and Naomi Annie (Cooley) Sutherland. He was the husband of Mary (McLean) Sutherland. They were married August 7, 1848. Mary died November 13, 1899. Rev. Sutherland was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church: Genesee (Western New York/now Upper New York) Conference 1846 East Genesee Conference at organization 1848 F 1848 Genesee Conference by change of boundaries 1872 East Genesee Conference at organization and to Genesee Conference by consolidation 1876. He died from cancer of the liver.
