JOHN SHUMAKER
---John D. Shumaker, 77, retired laborer and long-time resident of South Gifford, was found dead at his home there about 8 p.m. Friday.
---Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at South Gifford Christian Church conducted by Rev. Clyde McCollum and burial was in the Elmer Cemetery. McCollum Funeral Home was in charge.
---Mr. Shumaker was born April 3, 1886 in Missouri, the son of Charles McDonald and Leah Maria Scott Shumaker.
---Surviving are one sister-in-law, Mrs. Lillie Shumaker of Elmer and several nieces and nephews.
---He had been preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
