Daughter of Harold Lawton and Edna Shields.

Youngest sister of Unnamed Infant boy, Dorothy and husband Richard Scovill Sr., Earl Eugene and his wife Lillian, Hattie Harris and husband John Harris Sr, Robert, Jack, and Pat.

Brenda K. "Granny" Canterbury, age 77, of Kingsville MO passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at her home.

Brenda was born December 4, 1945 in Independence MO.

After many years of service Brenda retired from Centerpoint Medical in 2013.

Her favorite place to be was at Lake Pomme De Terre. She loved working in the yard, planting, and maintaining flowers. Her absolute favorite pastime was enjoying the peace of the lake and spending time with family.

Brenda was preceded in death by her son David A Pugh; her parents Harold D Lawton and Edna Shields Lawton; sisters Patricia Jenkins, Dorothy Scovill and Hattie Harris; brothers Bob Lawton, Jack Lawton, Earl Lawton.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Brenda was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, as well as a caring neighbor and friend. She created many wonderful memories with her family and friends. Her memory will linger on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
