Mrs. Phoebe London, estimable resident of Henderson twp practically all of her life, died Saturday in her home near Big Run. Death was attributed to complications after an illness had extended over a period of several months.
The deceased was born in Beechwoods Nov 30, 1857 a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Owens.
Mrs. London was a charter member of the Sykesville Baptist Church and was a woman who held the esteem and respect of a wide circle of friends who will sincerely mourn her death.
Surviving her are three daughters and two sons; Mrs. Maud Pifer, of Indiana; Edward London of Leetsdale; Mrs. William C. Miller of Big Run; mrs. a.F. Bowers of Windber and M Roy London of New London, N.H.
Her husband, James London, two daughters:Mrs. W.W. Sykes and Charles Shugarts and two sons, James and Thomas London preceded her in death.
Interment Sykesville Cemetery.
