Obituary, PA-Roots:

M. Roy London, Sr., of New Holland [New London], New Hampshire died 21 January at the age of 83. Mr. London died in the New London Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral services were conducted Jan 24 at the New London Baptist Church with the Rev. Robt. Thurston officiating. Burial was in the Old Main Street Cemetery.

Mr. London was born on 21 June, 1890 the son of James and Phoebe (Owens) London, and was married to the former Mary Armstrong of Punxsutawney. He had resided in New London since 1928.

Mr. London was the retired chairman of the Secretarial Science Dept. of Colby Junior College, a former legislator and judge. Mr. London began his career in education in the Big Run School District Schools from 1909-1911.

Surviving are one son, M. Roy London, Jr., Westwood, Mass.; a daughter Miss Jean London, Onenta, N.Y.; a sister Mrs. Floyd Bowers, Windber, Pa.; a nephew Edward London RD.3 [sic], Punxsutawney, and one cousin Olin London, Big Run.
